There is a caravan park at the bay with Park Homes, powered sites, a range of Chalets and unpowered sites. A shop sells basic necessities and fuel is also available. The waters are known for good fishing and there are plenty of 4x4 tracks.

The Duke "The Duke" is nestled beside the picturesque Duke of Orleans Bay. It is surrounded by breathtaking swimming and fishing beaches, with spectectular wildlife and flora. The park provides a secure place for children pets, with a fenced off playground with mini golf and boom gates at the entrance to keep traffic to a minimum.

Wharton Beach is located on the western side of Duke Of Orleans Bay Caravan Park, and is a popular beach for swimming, surfing and bodyboarding due to its continuous rolling waves. This beach is a must-visit, allowing beach access for 4WDs and parking for 2WDs. Wharton Beach has the crystal clear, aqua-coloured water Esperance is renowned for.

The Duke of Orleans Bay is located on the southern coast of Australia, around 70 km east of Esperance. The bay and the surrounding beaches are all accessed via the 22km long Orleans Bay Road, which connects the town of Condingup with the coast. It's a sealed road to the Orleans Bay Caravan Park and the car parks of the respective beaches.

What a hidden gem both The Duke of Orleans Bay and Orleans caravan park are. The Caravan Park is grassed and protected, powered sites, plenty of water and Chalets if you prefer.. you need to drive quite a bit to Esperance or Cape le Grand. All in all, peaceful place, great vibe and staff was very pleasant and helpful. Date of stay: November.

Plenty of birds, a nice environment and we were happy to book in. Since then, we've been back a number of times and rate the Duke of Orleans Caravan park as one of the best locations in WA. We did 10 days over Easter a few years back and absolutely loved it; there's so much to do in the area, and regardless of the weather you'll have fun.
